Coastal wellbeing walks for our cancer support group

We’re partnering with the South West Coast Path Association (SWCPA) to offer our cancer support groups a series of free wellbeing walks along Devon and Cornwall’s stunning coast.

The routes, led by an SWCPA guide, have been designed as gentle walks with plenty of opportunity to rest and enjoy the scenery. The guide will also be able to talk the group through points of interest and local wildlife that they might spot.

All travel to and from the route is paid for. Each walk includes a coffee stop, and everyone on the walk can enjoy a free hot or cold drink.

The dates for the walks are:

Tuesday 17th March, 10:30am-1:30pm  – Royal William Yard to Mayflower Steps

Tuesday 24th March, 10:30am – 1:30pm – Mount Edgcumbe park and gardens

Tuesday 31st March, 10:30am – 1:30pm – Mount Batten to Jennycliff

Tuesday 14th April, 10:30am – 1:30pm – Devonport Heritage Trail

Tuesday 21st April, 10am – 2:15pm – Wembury Barton Farm loop

Tuesday 28th April, 09:55am – 15:45pm – Whitsand Bay Cliff top path

You don’t have to commit to all six walks. Places are limited, so if you’d like to come along to any of the dates please email David at chestnut.events@nhs.net

If you or someone you know is affected by prostate, testicular or penile cancer, our free patient and family support groups across Devon and Cornwall offer a space to connect with others who understand what you’re going through.
