The Plymouth Support Group were warmly welcomed to a tour of the latest exhibitions at The Box in Plymouth. The Government Art Collection and the vibrant work of Gillian Ayres sparked plenty of thought and discussion among the group.
Following the tour everyone took part in a hands‑on workshop, trying their hand at creating abstract art.
Even those who doubted their creative abilities were pleasantly surprised by what they produced.
The Plymouth Support Group meets on the last Thursday of each month at Crownhill Methodist Church.
The next meeting will be held on Thursday 24 September at 6pm.
