Trustees are diverse and from all areas of the community.
We are so pleased to be able to welcome our newest Trustee to the Board, Jayne Dyer, she lives with her husband on a farm at Cardinham near Bodmin.
She was a school cook at Lostwithiel for 15years then worked for 10 years as a SEN with children with Autism at Lanlivery school, she now delivers flowers for Fleurtations Bodmin and loves her job making people smile when they open the door !!
Jayne’s lovely husband Colin was diagnosed in January 2019 with Prostate cancer, it was a total shock as he had no symptoms at all, since then he has had the removal and recovered very well, until last year when his PSA started to rise again, to the point needing radiotherapy in December 22, at the moment all is well !!
Jaynes position on the board is vital, to have patients and families offering their voice at board level is so important in making sure we are getting it right.
So THANK YOU Jayne, we look forward to working with you in 2024.
Jayne in her spare time also leaves information in men’s toilets so they can pick up and read later. She wants to shout from the rooftops to get our men checked and is very much in align with how we operate at the charity. She also raises money by running, quiz nights and awareness at farmers markets and agricultural sales, she knows everyone in the farming community and really is a great asset to our board.
