For the second year running Cynthia Hollinsworth from Cornwall has raised over £2,000 for the Chestnut Appeal for Men’s Health. £2,428 to be precise.
Cynthia raised this amazing amount after taking part in the St Michaels Mount swim in August. Cynthia said ‘As a breast cancer survivor, I know only two well the importance of awareness and early diagnosis, and the value of support throughout the cancer journey. I realise how particularly important this is here in the Southwest.’
Cynthia wanted to I thank all her supporters some of whom came to support her on the day.
Cynthia also wanted to pay tribute to her friends who have faced men’s health challenges – Colin who is an amazing Kundalini yoga teacher, Tony, professional mentor and colleague. David husband of Norma, Andrew husband of her long-standing school friend and Paul husband of Jo, who recently moved to Cornwall.
Cynthia said ‘Raising funds for this amazing charity is what is most important, followed by the challenge of taking part and working towards it. I love the fact that people of all ages and abilities can take part, and I encourage everyone to participate, every penny counts!’
