Prostate cancer treatment leads to sexual dysfunction in a significant number of men. This can have a large psychological impact and impacts on a patient’s ability to move on from their cancer diagnosis and treatment. Within the southwest peninsula there is very little support for these men. Any counselling that is available is not specific to their needs and dramatically over subscribed. We are now able to fund, because of your direct support senior nurses at the Plymouth and Truro sites in psychosexual counselling to fulfil this need.
Our two nurses that we have identified start their training this year, so please make sure you follow us to keep up to date with their progress.
