As the festive season arrives, we at The Chestnut Appeal for Men’s Health want to take a moment to wish all our incredible supporters, patients, and their families a very Merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
This year has been another busy one, and we’re continually reminded of the amazing strength and generosity within our community across Devon and Cornwall. It’s your support that makes our vital work possible, allowing us to fund specialist nurses, provide the latest equipment, raise awareness of men’s cancers, and offer vital breaks for patients.
Thanks to you, we’ve continued to make a big difference in men’s health.
- Saving lives through testing: Your donations have enabled free PSA testing events. These vital early-detection tests mean that we can catch cancer when it’s most treatable.
- Enhancing patient care: We’ve invested in vital equipment, like bladder scanners, to speed up treatment times and make the patient journey easier and more comfortable.
- Providing respite: Our funded holiday home in Looe has offered much-needed breaks and a chance to make memories for men and their families during a challenging time
We couldn’t do any of this without you. Every donation, fundraising effort and conversation that raises awareness helps stop men dying needlessly from cancer.
Next year is shaping up to be just as busy. We’ve exciting plans for more awareness campaigns and fundraising events such as our big swims, and will continue to invest in the best possible care for men in Devon and Cornwall.
