A huge thank you to staff at Newquay Community Hospital, who’ve raised over £300 for The Chestnut Appeal for Men’s Health!
To mark World Cancer Day, staff at the hospital took part in a bake sale and raffle whilst patients enjoyed a visit from local male voice choir Oll an Gwella. World Cancer Day, which is marked on the 4th February each year, is an international day of awareness for cancer prevention, detection and treatment.
Spending the day in a vital community medical hub, speaking to locals, patients and staff about the work that they support, was a fitting way to mark this day of awareness and reflection.
It’s thanks to community donations such as this that we’re able to carry out vital our work helping local people living with cancer. Thank you again!
If you or someone you know is affected by prostate, testicular or penile cancer, our free patient and family support groups across Devon and Cornwall offer a space to connect with others who understand what you’re going through.
