The 2024 Cawsand swim will take place on Sunday 15th September with a swim time of around 9am

Registration will take place from 07.30 next to the beach at Cawsand Bay where you’ll be checked in by our team and given your event swim cap.

At approximately 08.45 the water safety briefing will take place with an outline of the course and any update on the sea conditions.

There are two distances;  2km and 4km.

The 2km swim will see swimmers set off from the beach at Cawsand and swim along the Bay to Kingsand, to the Mermaid Buoy, to a 1km marker buoy and back inside the swim buoys.  The 4km swim will follow the same route and swim round twice.

Your entry fee covers the cost of organising the event, but it’s the money you raise that helps support Prostate, Testicular and Penile Cancer patients and their families right across Devon and Cornwall.  So we ask all our swimmers set themselves a fundraising target of £50, (don’t worry, we’ll help you set up a JustGiving page).

as a point of interest …
£60 will pay for 3 PSA tests.
£120 will pay for 500 awareness leaflets.
£300 will pay towards promotion across the region of the most common cancer in men, prostate cancer.
£600 will pay for 10% of our nurses psychosexual counselling course.
£1,000 will go towards furnishing a treatment room in the Chestnut Unit.
£5,000 will go towards state-of-the-art kit to be used for the care of prostate, testicular or penile cancer patients.
