During the last 12mths it’s been safer and more accessible to swim outside, if you discount the 6.4degree temperatures, thunderstorms, weeds, waves and fish that is!
Having previously challenged themselves to a 500m winter night swim and a 500m lake swim, in conditions which can only be described as a washing machine, Lisa and Sarah have decided to take on a mile in the sea to complete the Burgh Island swim. Training at the moment has not been easy, with restricted gym and pool times and more weeds in the lake than water, and that’s before we talk about salt chaffing and jelly fish!!!
You can stay on dry land and support our efforts by donating a couple of quid to The Chestnut Appeal. It’s been a difficult 18mths for charities who rely on donations to continue to provide their services or fund life saving developments, so literally anything you want to give will help. We’ve paid for our entry into the swim and we’ve been asked to raise a minimum of £50 each, which I’m sure we can achieve with your help.
Thanks Everyone 🙂
