I’ve entered the Plymouth Breakwater swim event which takes place on 15th August 2021. I’ll be swimming with my son, Sam, although its unlikely that we’ll actually be swimming together as he’ll likely be several hundred metres in front of me!
We’ll be taken out to Plymouth Breakwater by boat and will then set off back along the coast line by Jennycliffe and finally arrive at Mountbatten beach. The overall distance is just over 2 miles and my (optimistic) target would be to finish it in under one and half hours.
The swim is organised by the Plymouth Chestnut Appeal which is a charity which supports men suffering with prostate cancer as well as their families. I will be raising money for this worthy cause and would be grateful if you could feel you could sponsor me.
