Burgh Island Swim

I’ve recently swum round Burgh Island with Coast to Coast and  opportunity repeat a swim in this fabulous location and raise funds for The Chestnut Appeal is a real privilege. Thank you for your support! 🥰

Chestnut Appeal Burgh Island Swim

Started open water swimming 4 years ago and did this swim in 2018. Having another go this year as a goal for me and to help get a bit fitter after the strange events if the past 18 months as well as raising funds to combat cancer.

The swim Straight out from Cawsand Beach to a marker buoy, then turn left along the front of Kingsand towards Sandways. This will be on the outside of the moored yachts. Once reached the Mermaid flag, will then head back to Cawsand along the shoreline inside the yellow swim buoys. The swim is around 1800-2000km.

Chestnut Appeal

The Chestnut Appeal was founded in 1999 at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth and has since gone on to be at the forefront of prostate cancer care right across the region. We support the very latest in treatments and technology that wouldn’t be available without community fundraising; we rely on donations from the public.
