Trustee Opportunity — Help Shape the Future of Men’s Cancer Care in Devon & Cornwall.

The Chestnut Appeal for Men’s Health is looking to welcome a new Trustee to join our Board and help guide the charity through its next stage of growth and impact.

This is an opportunity to use your experience, insight and networks to help ensure we continue delivering life-changing support for people affected by prostate, testicular and penile cancers across Devon and Cornwall.

What you’ll do

As a Trustee, you’ll help shape our strategic direction, provide governance and oversight, and support the leadership team in delivering our mission. Beyond Board meetings, there may also be opportunities to:

  • Work with the CEO on key projects
  • Join sub-committees aligned with your skills or interests
  • Act as an ambassador for the charity within your networks

Time commitment

The Board meets at least four times per year, primarily in Plymouth and Cornwall. Additional involvement is flexible depending on your availability and interests.

Who we’re looking for

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and sectors. We’re particularly keen to hear from individuals with experience in the business community, but above all we’re looking for people who are committed to improving outcomes for men affected by cancer.

How to apply

For an informal conversation, or to apply, please contact Lesley-Ann Simpson at chestnut.appeal@nhs.net with your CV and a short supporting statement outlining how your experience could benefit the charity.

Closing date: 31 March 2026

If you or someone you know is affected by prostate, testicular or penile cancer, our free patient and family support groups across Devon and Cornwall offer a space to connect with others who understand what you’re going through.
