On 8th August, Ginette and her daughter Annabelle Ferguson joined 270 swimmers to take on the incredible St Michael’s Mount Swim.
But for Annabelle, every stroke was for her Grandad, Pete, who sadly passed away from prostate cancer in June.
“I’m so glad Grandad knew I was going to take on this swim for him before he passed away. Prostate cancer affects so many individuals and families, and I want to raise as much awareness and money as I can to support the incredible work being done to help those affected.”
What makes the achievement even more remarkable is that this was Annabelle’s first ever open water swim – and she has already raised an amazing £1,474 in Pete’s memory.
An incredible challenge, an incredible cause and a wonderful tribute to a much-loved Grandad.
