Charlie Swims for Charity

Having had a dear relative diagnosed with cancer and working with similar patients in the past, I wanted to put me getting wet, cold and potentially miserable in 2021 to good use - raising money for a great charity working with men with cancer.

I’m taking on some swimming challenges in 2021 to raise money for the Chestnut Appeal. Men’s cancer has touched my family and seeing the bravery and grace of an amazing relative is a motivator to help those who help individuals in similar situations.

I’ll be undertaking the Drake and Looe Island swims along with the Great Escape Bluetits Summer challenge. It’s the furthest and most frequently I’ll have ever swum!

Here’s my effort to raise some money to help people going through difficult times with conditions it’s not always easy to talk about.
