Thanks to your support, we’ve more than doubled prostate screening capacity at the Royal Cornwall Hospital (RCH), helping hundreds of men access faster diagnosis and treatment.
Since 2024, we’ve funded specialist radiographer Liz Richardson to work at RCH for one day a week. The goal was to increase capacity for vital prostate scans, reducing waiting times for cancer diagnosis and follow-up scans.
Recent data shows that 491 patients were seen last year, compared to just 180 in 2024 when Liz began her role. This means shorter waiting times, and a much better patient experience.
As a trained specialist radiographer, Liz also ensures that each prostate cancer patient has a dedicated professional who can guide them through treatment and monitor symptoms.
